English actress Binnie Barnes (1905-1998) appeared in a short sound film made by Lee
DeForest in 1923. She was in British stage and film productions from the early 1930s
onward. During this period, Barnes played unfaithful fifth spouse Katherine Howard in The
Private Life of Henry VIII (1933). Barnes made her American debut in There's Always
Tomorrow (1934). She returned to American films later in her career when her husband,
Columbia production chief Mike Frankovich, cast her in the 1968 films The Trouble With
Angels and Where Angels Go --Trouble Follows, as well as 1972's 40 Carats. Top edge
ragged. Small tear at top edge. Adhesive residue on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
