Autograph Note signed: "My best to Danny!/ Birch Bayh" in brown felt tip, 5x3. Newspaper clipping, 3½x2, announcing one of Bayh's speaking engagements included. Birch Bayh (1928-2019) was a 3-term U.S. Senator from Indiana (1963-1981) and a candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1976. He is the father of Evan Bayh, former Governor and 2-term U.S. Senator from Indiana. As Chairman of the Senate Subcommitee on Constitutional Amendments, Bayh was a principal author of the last two successful amendments to the Constitution: XXV - governing Presidential succession and disability and XXVI - lowering the voting age to 18. Lightly toned. Tape remnants on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
