Sincerely". BJORNSTJERNE BJORNSON (1832-1910), a novelist and dramatist as well as a poet, received the 1903 Nobel Prize in Literature "as a tribute to his noble, magnificent and versatile poetry, which has always been distinguished by both the freshness of its inspiration and the rare purity of its spirit." American photographer ALFRED STIEGLITZ (1864-1946) had gone to Germany to study in 1881 and took his first photographs in Berlin two years later.
