He was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award (1971) for reprising The Great White Hope on film. In 1991, he won both a Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor Emmy for Gabriel's Fire and Heat Wave, and in 1999 for Outstanding Performer Children's Special.  Jones' sonorous and highly recognizable voice served both Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy and was Mufasa in Disney's The Lion King (1994) and has been featured in more than twenty films and as many commercial announcements such as "This is CNN". In 2001, Jones narrated the documentary Black Indians: An American Story which explores issues of mixed racial identity - Jones is of African American, American Indian (Choctaw) and Irish decent. He was awarded the John F. Kennedy Centre Honor in 2002. American actress, LYDIA CORNELL (born1953), is probably best known as Sara Rush from Too Close For Comfort(1980-1985). As of this biography, she's appeared in 25 movies and TV shows since 1979. Cornell is also an author, stand-up comic and monologist; her blog was a finalist for the 2005 Koufax Award.
