his Kansas City Royals uniform. Fine condition. Multi-talented Bo Jackson, born Vincent
Edwards Jackson in 1962, was the first athlete to be named an All-Star in both baseball
and football. While playing football for Auburn University, he was named MVP of both the
Sugar Bowl (1984; 1983 season) and Liberty Bowl (1984), and Jackson won the Heisman
Trophy in 1985. Drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1986, Jackson opted instead to
sign with the Kansas City Royals. In 1988 and 1989, he started for both the Royals and
the NFL's Los Angeles Raiders. After Jackson severely injured his left hip in the NFL
playoffs on January 13, 1991, he was waived by the Royals but signed by the Chicago White
Sox. Jackson missed the entire 1992 season recovering from hip surgery, but he returned to
play for the White Sox in 1993 and the California Angels in 1994 before retiring. Two items.
