Sports Card signed: "Bob Forsch", signed above facsimile signature. Color, 2½x3½. Topps card #51 for 1975, with his Major and minor league record through 1974 printed on verso. Bob Forsch (1950-2011) pitched 16 seasons in the Majors, beginning in 1974. All but his final two seasons were spent with the St Louis Cardinals. Forsch had his best season in 1977, going 20-7 and beginning a streak of seven seasons with double-digit wins. He finished with a career mark of 168-136. Forsch played in 3 World Series and pitched two no-hitters. Bob Forsch and his brother Ken are the only brothers to both throw no-hitters in the Majors. He died suddenly of a chest aneurysm in November 2011, one week after throwing out the first pitch for the Cardinals in the 2011 World Series. Corners lightly worn. Signature light but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
