BOBBY ORRHe pens his signature on this Sher-wood Star Pro hockey stick! Hockey Stick Signed: "Bobby Orr" on the blade. Wooden "Star Pro 1000" Sher-wood Hockey Stick, "Made in Czechoslovakia". Boston Bruins' Hall of Famer Bobby Orr won the Norris Trophy for Outstanding Defenseman eight times (1968-1975) and led the NHL in scoring twice and in assists five times. Orr, arguably the greatest defenseman to ever play the sport, changed the way hockey is played with his revolutionary approach to the position as an offensive threat. Orr led the "Big Bad Bruins" to two Stanley Cup championships (1970, 1972). The 6'1", 200-pound Bruin struck fear into the hearts of opposing players and coaches with his superior vision and uncanny knack for finding the puck in wide open ice. In the 1966-67 season, Bobby Orr scored 13 goals and 41 total points, which earned him the Calder Trophy as the NHL's outstanding rookie. Beginning with the 1969-70 season, Orr posted point totals of 120, 139, 117, 101, 122, and 135 for the next six seasons. After Orr's tenure with the Bruins ended, he was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks. Unfortunately, after playing only 26 games in his final three seasons due to severe knee injuries, Orr retired from the sport, leaving a void that has not been filled since. Shaft slightly worn. Stray ink mark near signature. Otherwise, fine condition. Accompanied by PSA/DNA LOA.
