BOBBY "THE POLISH PRINCE" VINTON
B/w single cover for Bobby Vinton's 1967 cover of For He's a Jolly Good Fellow, signed with "Love". Vinton had four chart-topping singles between 1962 and 1964.
Record cover signed "Love/Bobby/Vinton". Pencil notations on verso in unknown hand. B/w, 7x7. Copy of For He's a Jolly Good Fellow by Vinton. rEpic. Record not included. Vinton's cover of For He's a Jolly Good Fellow was featured on his 1967 album Bobby Vinton Sings the Newest Hits. Although his sentimental ballads were more similar in style to singers of earlier decades, Vinton, born Stanley Robert Vinton in 1935, was a big hit with young listeners in the 1960s. He scored five big hits between 1962 and 1964: Roses Are Red, Blue on Blue, Blue Velvet, There, I've Said It Again and Mr. Lonely. Unlike many of his rivals, he more than survived the British invasion, with further big hits like I Love How You Love Me (1968). Vinton hosted his own TV musical variety show (1975-1978) and remains ever popular on the nightclub circuit and "oldies" radio. Lightly toned, soiled, creased and bowed. Light impressions from album. Lightly worn edges. Lightly rounded, creased and worn corners. Otherwise in fine condition.
