Photograph inscribed and signed: "Best to Ronald-/Bonita Granville". B/w, 8x10. Actress and producer Bonita Granville (1923-1988) made her film debut in 1932 at the age of nine in Westward Passage and four years later she was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in These Three (1936). Known for playing the title role in four Nancy Drew films (1938-1939) and starring opposite Mickey Rooney in two Andy Hardy outings (1944, 1946), Granville also appeared in such films as Little Women (1933), Anne of Green Gables (1934), Maid of Salem (1937), The People vs. Dr. Kildare (1941), Now, Voyager (1942), Hitler's Children (1943) and The Lone Ranger (1956). She was also a familiar face on early TV anthologies (beginning in 1951), and Granville guest starred on several TV series, including Lassie (1965), which she produced and directed. Granville, who was married to producer Jack Wrather from 1947 until his death in 1984, was also known for her involvement with a number of charities. Slightly creased at blank corners. Fine condition.
