The British actor pens a note for a fan on this 3½x2 card
Autograph Note Signed: "To Milton/Bramwell Fletcher/Best
wishes", 3½x2 card. British-born stage, screen and television actor
Bramwell Fletcher (1904-1988), who made his film debut in 1928, appeared in such
films as Svengali (1931), The Mummy (1932),
The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934) and Random Harvest
(1942). He made his first television appearance in 1949 on The
Chevrolet Tele-Theatre, and Fletcher would go on to appear in a long list
of TV anthology series as well as later dramas, such as The Defenders
(1964), The Nurses (1964), and Coronet Blue (1967). A veteran
of the British stage, he appeared in a dozen Broadway plays,
including Rebecca (1945), Candida (1952), My Fair Lady
(replacement in the role of Henry Higgins) and The Lovers (1956).
Scarce signature. Lightly soiled. Mounting remnants and glue stains on
verso (light show through at lower right corner. Name written (unknown hand) on
verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
