BRIAN KEITH
Black and white publicity photograph of Brian Keith wearing a New York Yankee baseball cap.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Steve/all the Best/Brian". B/w, 8x10. The son of actor Robert Keith, Brian Keith (1921-1997) appeared with his dad in the Broadway debut of Mr. Roberts (1948). A decorated Marine pilot in WWII, Keith played good guys and bad guys in Western and action films of the 1950s and more varied roles thereafter. He portrayed President Theodore Roosevelt in The Wind and the Lion (1975) and TR's predecessor, President McKinley, in The Rough Riders (1997). Keith was a very popular TV actor whose series highlights included Family Affair (1966-1971), The Brian Keith Show (1972-1974) and Hardcastle and McCormick (1983-1986). Ink has lightly spread at the "rian" of signature and two words of writing (completely legible). Ink blots to right of "Steve" and at mid-right background. Slightly creased at blank margins and corners, black mark at upper right edge. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Overall, fine condition.
