Brian Starcher (born in New Jersey) is an actor who is best known as Hank Eliot in the daytime soap As the World Turns (1988). Eliot is the first daytime television male character to come out as gay. This story arc followed Hank as he experienced the different ways that the other characters reacted, mimicking likely real-world responses. Later in the show, Eliot's partner Charles was revealed to have AIDS. This drama climaxed in a sad twist: Charles' family would not allow Eliot to see his dying companion in the hospital. Brian Starcher received a 1990 Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Male Newcomer for his performance. Eliot was later written out of the show. Starcher is also credited in an episode of Babylon 5 (1994). Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
