for your sons, but here it is, with my good wishes. Yours sincerely"
Accompanied by the transmittal envelope addressed to Robert F Allen Jr.
and postmarked Fulham, S.W., March 12, 1975. English author Brigid Brophy
(1929-1995) was born in London, England. The creator of four plays and seven
novelsamong other works, she was an activist for numerous causes,
making great change in animal rights and authors receiving
royalty payments. Her best remembered works include Hackenfeller's
Ape (1953), Flesh (1962), The Snow Ball (1964), Fifty Works of
English Literature We Could Do Without (1967), In Transit (1969),
Prancing Novelist (1973) and Baroque 'n' Roll (1987). She was
married to art historian Michael Levey; and later in her life was diagnosed
with multiple sclerosis. One horizontal and two vertical folds. Lightly
creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
