Photograph signed: "Britney". Color, 11½x14¼. Pop star Britney Spears (born in 1981) began her career in an off-Broadway production of Ruthless, but she first found fame on The Mickey Mouse Club (1993-1995), which also co-starred Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera (Spears beat out Jessica Simpson to become a Mouseketeer). In 1999, Spears released her debut album, ...Baby One More Time, which sold over 13 million copies and started a string of successes that would make her the first woman to have four albums go straight to No. 1 on the charts. Her second album, Oops!...I Did It Again (2000), sold over nine million copies and was nominated for two Grammy Awards (Spears would not win a Grammy until 2005, when her song, "Toxic", was named Best Dance Recording). Spears' success came with intense media scrutiny, and her relationship with Timberlake was constantly in the news. After their break-up, Spears was briefly (55 hours) married to Jason Allen Alexander before marrying Timberlake's former back-up dancer Kevin Federline in 2004. After Spears filed for divorce from Federline, with whom she has two children, she began a wild cycle of behavior. In addition to frequent partying, Spears made news in February 2007 when she shaved her head and checked into rehab (twice). Minor surface creases (most not evident head on). Semi-circular cut at mid-upper edge. Fine condition.
