BRUCE WELCH and TOMMY QUICKLY
The musician and acclaimed songwriter and producer signs his name in blue ink, signature on verso by the UK pop-rock singer
Signature(s): "Bruce Welch", in blue ink, and "Love/Tommy/Quickly/xx" , in blue ink, 4x4½. BRUCE WELCH (b. 1941) is a British musician, producer and a former member of The Shadows, known best for his guitar playing. Having written several number 1 hits for the band, Welch went on to produce and write for various artists, including his ex-fiancée Olivia Newton-John. Some of his hits include songs such as "Foot Tapper", "Please don't Tease" and "I could Easily Fall (in Love with You)". TOMMY QUICKLY (b. 1943) is a retired rock and roll singer and musician who was most popular in the UK during the 1960's. Born Thomas Quigley, the artist was originally in the band The Challengers and was spotted by Brian Epstein (eventual manager of The Beatles). He changed his name per Epstein's guidance and made the transition into a solo act. His first single was "Tip of My Tongue", which was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney of The Beatles. He charted in the UK for the first time with "Wild Side of Life". Edges slightly worn. Fine condition.
