Card signed ""Bucky" Harris" in blue ink.5½x3¼ card, mounted
on an 8¼x11 sheet of black paper with a 3½x5½ National Baseball Museum Hall of
Fame picture postcard. With two b/w magazine photos and a 1¾x½ caption affixed
to card. Hall of Famer Harris (1896-1977) managed the Washington
Senators (1924-1928, 1935-1942, 1950-1954), Detroit Tigers
(1929-1933, 1955-1956), Boston Red Sox (1934), Philadelphia Phillies
(1943) and New York Yankees (1947-1948), winning the 1924
(Senators) and 1947 (Yankees) World Series as well as three pennants. Harris
also played second base for the Senators from 1919-1928 and for the Tigers in
1929 and 1931. Card is lightly toned. Signature is lightly smeared in places but
legible. Otherwise in fine condition.
