folded. Raymond "Bucky" Waters was born on December 17, 1935. He is a
former NCAA player and coach who became a sports commentator for NBC,
USA and ESPN. He played in college at North Carolina University where
he became an ACC basketball champion. He began head coaching at West
Virginia University in 1956 and stayed with the school until 1959 when he
took a job as the head coach of Duke University. He has a career
coaching record of 132-86. Later in his career Waters became a sports
commentator and worked on the PGA tour and the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
