Hackett signs standard AFTRA contract to appear on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall
Document twice signed: on front page "Buddy Hackett", initialed on rider page "BH". Document is 1p front and verso, with 8 one-sided pages of riders. Initialed rider page is 8½x6½. New York, N.Y., 1960 December 13. Standard AFTRA contract between Hackett and Roncom Productions, Inc. for his appearance on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, February 1, 1961, for $7,500 plus round trip air transportation from Los Angeles. Baby-faced comedian Hackett (1924-2003) was equally comfortable as a risqué, improvisational nightclub entertainer and a figure in family films such as The Music Man (1962) and The Love Bug (1968). Appearing on TV early (1945), he had his own sitcom a decade later (Stanley, 1956). He starred in the Broadway Comedy Lunatics and Lovers (1953). Signature page is browned at top edge, frayed on right margin. Staples in upper left. Rider page is frayed at left and right edges, with staple holes on left center. Otherwise, fine condition.
