December 5. Standard AFTRA contract between Hackett and Roncom Productions,
Inc. for his appearance on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall for $4,000 with
rehearsals to begin December 28, 1955. Baby-faced comedian Hackett
(1924-2003) was equally comfortable as a risqué, improvisational nightclub
entertainer and a figure in family films such as The Music Man (1962)
and The Love Bug (1968). Appearing on TV early (1945), he had his own
sitcom a decade later (Stanley, 1956). He starred in the Broadway Comedy
Lunatics and Lovers (1953). Staples holes in upper left corner. Carbon
smudges random on signature page. Otherwise, fine condition.
