BUDDY VAN HORNClint Eastwood' stunt man reports no income from directing in 1974. That would soon change. Document signed: "Buddy Van Horn", 1 page, 8½x11. Toluca Lake, California, 1974 December 27. Annual filing required by the Directors Guild of America to report income from directing, for use incalculating dues. Van Horn reports his income from directing in 1974 as "none", and that he is employed as an actor and stunt man. He projects his 1975 directing income as "?". Buddy Van Horn (1929-2021) began performing movie stunts in 1951, and gave uncredited performances in films like Around the World in 80 Days and Spartacus, as well as episodes of TV Westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. By the late 1960s, he had become a favorite double for actor Clint Eastwood in films like Coogan's Bluff, Dirty Harry, High Plains Drifter, Magnum Force and The Eiger Sanction. By the late 1970s, he became stunt coordinator on a series of films, including The Deer Hunter and Every Which Way But Loose. By the 1980s he was directing Eastwood films, beginning with Any Which Way You Can. Corners lightly worn. Fine condition.
