Original Art signed: "All the Best,/Bunny Hoest", 6½x4½ cartoon. Bunny Hoest, born Madeline Mezz in 1932 and carrying the nickname Bunny since infancy, began working as a cartoon assistant to Bill Hoest in 1972. She married Hoest the following year, and was soon writing most of the captions to go with his art. After Bill Hoest's death, she teamed up with illustrator John Reiner, working jointly on three cartoons begun by her late husband: "The Lockhorns," "Laugh Parade" and "Howard Huge." King Features estimates that she has 200 million readers worldwide, including fans of these strips and also her "Bumper Snickers" in the National Enquirer. Matted (not in Gallery of History style).
