BURL IVES and TRINI LOPEZBoth pen their signatures on this card! Signatures: "Burl Ives", and "Trini Lopez", signed on an irregularly cut 2¾x1¾ card (Ives); and a 4¼x1¼ slip (Lopez), both affixed to 6x3¾ album leaf. Ink caption (unknown hand) at lower edge of album leaf. IVES (1909-1995) was both an Academy and Golden Globe winner for Best Actor (The Big Country, 1958) and a popular balladeer ("Itty Bitty Tear", "My Funny Way of Laughing", "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas"). His feature film credits include Smoky (1946, his debut), East of Eden (1955), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958, as Big Daddy), Desire Under the Elms (1959, as Ephraim Cabot), Let No Man Write My Epitaph (1960), Summer Magic (1963), The Brass Bottle and Ensign Pulver (both 1964), and Ives also starred in two popular television miniseries, Captains and the Kings (1976) and Roots (1977), as well as a number of made-for-television movies, including the animated holiday favorite, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964). Early in his career, Ives was also heard on the radio series The Wayfaring Stranger, and he later appeared in the TV series OK Crackerby (1965) and The Bold Ones: The Lawyers (1969). Trini LOPEZ, was a member of the International Latin Music Hall of Fame, had several American Top 40 hits in the 1960s, including "If I Had a Hammer", "Kansas City", "Lemon Tree" and "I'm Comin Home, Cindy." A frequent guest on TV variety shows of that era and beyond, Lopez also played supporting roles in several films. He was one of The Dirty Dozen (1967)! Lopez is also enshrined in the Las Vegas Casino Entertainers Hall of Fame. Ink note on verso of Lopez signature shows through lightly. Left edge of album leaf is slightly frayed.
