To Yorkshire Productions, New York. Contract in the form of a "Personal
Acknowledgment Letter" accompanying his agreement to appear on The Kraft Music
Hall on October 15, 1969. Composer, arranger and conductor Burt Bacharach (1928-2023)
won 1969 Academy Awards for Best Score for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and
Best Song from that film, "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head", and the 1981 Academy
Award for Best Song for "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" from Arthur.
"Raindrops" would later be featured in several other films, Forrest Gump (1994),
Clockwatchers (1997), The In-Laws (2003) and Spider-Man 2 (2004), and many of his other
songs were also included in recent motion picture scores. Other songs Bacharach composed
include "Alfie", "What the World Needs Now", "I'll Never Fall in Love Again", "What's
New, Pussycat?", "The Look of Love" and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?"
Bacharach, who has also won six Grammy Awards, was married to actress Angie Dickinson
from 1966-1980 and to collaborator Carole Bayer Sager from 1982-1990 (both marriages
ended in divorce). Staple holes at upper left corner. Two paper clip impressions at right
margin, not affecting text. Lightly creased. Overall, fine condition.
