Printed Card signed in ink: "Buster Adams", 5x3 card. Printed
baseball images to left and right of signature. Elvin Clark "Buster" Adams
played two games for the 1939 St Louis Cardinals before reporting for duty in
World War II. Returning to Major League baseball (1943-1947), he was traded
between the Cardinals and the Philadelphia Phillies three times. A rangy center
fielder who led the NL in putouts in 1944, Adams could also hit. In his best
season, 1945, he swatted 22 home runs, scored 104 runs and drove in 109. Pencil
note (unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
