Crabbe signed this carbon copy document in 1955 to appear on the Nov. 19, 1955 episode of the Perry Como TV Show.
Carbon copy document signed "Buster Crabbe" as Guardian in blue ink. 1 page, 8½x11 on this paper. October 20, 1955. Carbon copy of letter to Roncom Productions, Inc., New York, N.Y. In full: "In connection with my services on the PERRY COMO TV SHOW, scheduled to be broadcast on November 19, 1955, I hereby authorize and direct you to forward my compensation to and in the name of my agents, ASSOCIATED BOOKING CORPORATION, 745 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK, N.Y./Very truly yours/Cuffy Crabbe." Crabbe (1908-1983, born Clarence Linden Crabbe in Oakland, California), who won the Gold Medal in the 400-meter swim at the 1932 Olympic games, went on to star in over 100 adventure films, many set in outer space (most as Flash Gordon) and the Wild West (as Billy "the Kid" Carson). In 1933, Crabbe also starred as Tarzan in the Principal Pictures 16-part serial film. Ironically, in winning his Olympic medal, Crabbe had broken the record set by MGM's rival Tarzan, Johnny Weissmuller. Lightly toned and creased. Light tears at top edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
