BYRON MORROW
Actor Byron Morrow signed this contract in 1975 to appear in an episode of General Hospital. Morrow appeared as an admiral in two original series Star Trek episodes.
Contract signed "Byron Morrow" as Performer with his phone number and by a representative of ABC, both in blue ink. 2 pages, 8¼x13¾, 1 sheet, front and verso. Jan. 27, 1975. Morrow signed this contract with ABC to appear as a judge in the Jan 3, 1975 episode of General Hospital. He was to be paid $407 plus 10 percent. Steely-eyed and distinguished-looking character actor Morrow (1911-2006) was often cast as authority figures like admirals, generals, judges, senators and the like. In all, Morrow appeared in almost 200 movies and TV shows between 1957 and 1991, including repeat appearances in Bat Masteron (1959-1961), Perry Mason (1960-1965), The Untouchables (1961), My Three Sons (1963-1971), The Man from U. N. C. L. E. (1964-1965), Get Smart (1965 and 1967), Dragnet 1967 (1967-1968), Bonanza (1966-1972), Mannix (1968-1972), Marcus Welby, M. D. (1969-1974), Barnaby Jones (1973 and 1978), The Rockford Files (1975-1979), Vega$ (1979-1981) and Trapper John, M. D. (1979 and 1983). Trekkies may remember Morrow for playing two different admirals in the Star Trek episodes Amok Time (1967) and For the World Is Hollow and I Have I Touched the Sky (1968); he was reportedly the first actor to portray an admiral on Star Trek. He also played admirals in two mini-series based on Herman Wouk novels: The Winds of War (1983) and War and Remembrance (1988-1989). Lightly toned, stained and creased. Light tear in left edge. Light nick and small tear in bottom right corner. Folded once. Otherwise in fine condition.
