ALBERT GALLATIN had been the fourth Secretary of the Treasury, serving under Presidents Jefferson and Monroe (May 1801-February 1814). SNYDER, the 54th Secretary of the Treasury, served under President Truman, 1946-1953. GEORGE M. HUMPHREY served as the 55th Secretary of the Treasury under President Eisenhower, January 1953-July 1957. ANDERSON succeeded Humphrey as the 56th Secretary of the Treasury, serving for the remainder of Eisenhower's term, July 1957-January 1961. DILLON, the 57th Secretary of the Treasury, served under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, January 1961-April 1965. FOWLER succeeded Dillon as the 58th Secretary of the Treasury, serving under LBJ from April 1965-December 1968. BARR, the 59th Secretary of the Treasury, served for the last 28 days of LBJ's administration, December 1968-January 1969. The 60th Secretary of the Treasury, KENNEDY served under President Nixon from January 1969-February 1971. SCHULZ was the 62nd Secretary of the Treasury, serving during the Nixon administration, June 1972-May 1974. SIMON, who served under Presidents Nixon and Ford, was Deputy Secretary of the Treasury from February 1973-April 1974 before serving as the 63rd Secretary of the Treasury from May 1974-January 1977. W. MICHAEL BLUMENTHAL, the 64th Secretary of the Treasury, served under President Carter from January 1977-August 1979. MILLER was President of the Federal Reserve Board when he was nominated by President Carter as the 65th Secretary of the Treasury. He served from August 1979-January 1981. Lightly creased.
