Signatures: "Cab Calloway" and, on verso, "Bebe Daniels ", 5½x3¾ album leaf. Cotton Club orchestra leader CAB CALLOWAY (1907-1994), one of the premier entertainers in jazz, is best known for his renditions of "Minnie the Moocher" and "St. James Infirmary Blues" and for his "Hi di Ho" delivery. BEBE DANIELS (1901-1971) broke into silent films at age seven, moving on to Mack Sennett comedies in the 1910s, Cecil B. DeMille features in the twenties, and musical and other roles in the early talkie era (Rio Rita, 1929; 42nd Street 1933). She and actor husband Ben Lyon moved to England in 1935, becoming popular radio and television personalities there. Pencil notes (unknown hand) at bottom margin.
