This 4x5½ newspaper photograph of the hockey player shows him on the ice with the
New York Rangers
Newspaper photograph signed: "Cam Connor" in blue ink. 4x5½. Cam Connor (b. 1954) is a
retired hockey right wing who played professionally with the Phoenix Roadrunners and
the Houston Aeros of the WHA and the Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers and
New York Rangers of the NHL between 1974 and 1983. The Montreal Canadiens were
happy to receive their power forward when Connor left the WHA for the NHL in 1978. It
was Connor's memorable over-time game winning goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs
in the 1979 Stanley Cup Finals that gave Montreal the championship. In the NHL,
Connor played 89 games, scoring 9 goals and earning 22 assists. In the WHA, Connor played
247 games, scoring 83 goals and aiding in 88 assists. Edges irregular. Corners rounded. Ink
note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
