Show Bill signed: "Ron/Husmann", "Tommy Breslin", "Donna King", "Pamela Sousa", "Swen Swenson", "David Brooks" and "Avery Schreiber", 5½x9, 99 pages. Program for the revival of the musical Can-Can, at the Minskoff Theatre, New York City. Can-Can, with music by Cole Porter and a book by Abe Burrows, was a smash hit in 1953, running for 892 performances into 1955. The 1981 revival was much less commercially successful, running for just 5 days. But the critics liked it enough to accord it three Tony nominations (Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Choreography). Featured on stage were RON HUSMANN, as Judge Aristide Forestier, in the last of his 7 Broadway dating back to Fiorello! (1959); AVERY SCHREIBER (1935-2002), as Boris Adzinidzinadze, in his fifth of six Broadway musicals; TOMMY BRESLIN, doubling as stage manager and performer in the last of 7 Broadway appearances; DAVID BROOKS (1917-1999), a Broadway veteran dating back to the 1940s and the premier of the hit Brigadoon, as Judge Paul Barriere; DONNA KING, as Mimi, who would go on to the role of Bombalurina in Cats; PAMELA SOUSA, whose credits included such hits as Pippin, Chicago and A Chorus Line, in the dual roles of Claudine and Eve; and SWEN SWENSON, who had received a Theatre Critics Award for Little Me (1963), playing the part of Hilaire Jussac. Edges toned. Left edge lightly frayed from binding. Fine condition.
