Space shuttle launch cover postmarked at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, October 18, 1989. The Atlantis space shuttle mission, October 18-23, 1989, launched the Jupiter probe and the orbiter Galileo. In 1996, LUCID set the U.S. record for duration in space when she returned to space aboard the Atlantis shuttle in March, transferred to the Russian Mir space station and returned to Earth aboard the next Atlantis flight in September, spending 188 days in space. Fine condition.
