HANS KETSCHER (1912-1989). FRANZ SCHLUND. British stamps honoring Queen
Elizabeth II and the "First Non-Stop Atlantic Flight," postmarked Royal Air Force North
Coates Grimsby, 1971 February 28, depicting two 1942 British Beaufighters. This
envelope was flown from England to Germany, via Paris (50 minutes), and back to
England (43 minutes). Biographies of the pilots, in German, are on back of envelope. Light
1x½ yellowing in lower right of envelope from missing address label. Otherwise, fine
condition.
