Paramount Pictures". In the year this photograph was copyrighted, Brisson
appeared in Two Hearts in Waltz Time and displayed his fine tenor voice
when he introduced the standard, "Cocktails for Two", in Murder at the
Vanities. Multitalented entertainer Carl Brisson (1893-1958), born Carl
Pederson in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a former professional boxer, dancer,
nightclub singer and veteran of the London stage (from 1923) before making his
first major film, Alfred Hitchcock's The Ring, in 1927. Brisson,
who made his last film, Ship Cafe, in 1935, was the father of Tony
Award-winning theatrical producer Frederick Brisson - the husband of Rosalind
Russell from October 25, 1941 until her death on November 28, 1976. Lightly
creased at blank margins. Minor surface creases. Pencil note (unknown hand) and
collector's stamp on verso (no show through). Overall, fine
condition.
