organ donor card from The Mickey Mantle Foundation with a letter from Lewis,
in part: "...join me on Mickey's Team by signing up to be a donor...."
Carl Lewis (b. 1961) won nine Olympic Gold Medals (and one Silver) in
Track & Field: 1984 (100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter relay, long
jump), 1988 (100-meter, long jump), 1992 (400-meter relay, long
jump) and 1996 (long jump). The indoor long jump record he set in 1984
still stands. Sports Illustrated named him Olympian of the Century. An
all-around athlete, Lewis was drafted by the NBA Chicago Bulls (the same year
they picked Michael Jordan) and by the NFL Dallas Cowboys, but never played in
those leagues. Fine condition.
