(b.1960) played for the Cubs, Padres, Phillies, Pirates, Royals and
Reds between 1983 and 1991. A versatile left fielder/first baseman out of
Dorado, Puerto Rico, Martinez hit a home run in his first ever at bat in the
Majors with the Cubs. A year later he won the 1984 National League
Pennant with the Padres. Martinez retired after playing for the Orix
BlueWave of the NPB, posting a lifetime .245 batting average, 108 home runs and
424 RBIs. Toned. Corners rounded. Pencil notes on verso in unknown hand.
