Features a newspaper clipping headshot of the actress adhered on right side. 3x1¼. Before she debuted on Broadway in Irving Berlin's musical Louisiana Purchase (1939), Carol Bruce (1919-2007) was a frequent radio and night club singer in the 1940s. Although she appeared in several films over the course of her decades-long career, Bruce preferred live performances. Her movies include American Gigolo (1980) and Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987). She had recurring guest roles on the television shows Knots Landing (1979-1993) and WKRP in Cincinnati (1979-1982). Her Broadway credits include the revival of Showboat (1946-1948), where she performed as Julie for hundreds of performances. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
