Inscribed Printed Photograph Signed in Ink: "To/"Saul"/With very/good
wishes/Best/Carol Bruce". B/w 8x10. Before she debuted on Broadway in Irving
Berlin's musical Louisiana Purchase (1939), Carol Bruce (1919-2007) was a
frequent radio and night club singer in the 1940s. Although she appeared in
several films over the course of her decades-long career, Bruce preferred live
performances. Her movies include American Gigolo (1980) and Planes, Trains
& Automobiles (1987). She had recurring guest roles on the television shows
Knots Landing (1979-1993) and WKRP in Cincinnati (1979-1982). Saul
Goodman (1919-2003), a New York business man by day, pursued his love of
film and theatre in the evening, making friends with many celebrities. While
other autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with
snazzy photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen. Corners worn. Ink
stamp and note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, Fine condition.
