Heiss answers, in full: "Probably my worst failure was the very
first competition I was in as a Juvenile. I was second to last and I didn't like
the position so I decided I would do better from then on! Winning is just more
fun. But once you have success you have to try to better yourself but it does
give you the drive to continue on! You are both correct in your own ways."
Five-time world champion (1956-1960), figure skater Heiss won an Olympic silver
medal in 1956 and a gold medal in 1960. Lightly creased. Folds touch signature.
