CAROLE BAYER SAGER
Black and white publicity photograph of Sager sitting on stage in white socks, white pants and a sweater with white patches
Photograph signed: "Best Wishes,/Carole Bayer Sager". B/w 10x8, credit captioned to Harry Langdon Photography. Lyricist, songwriter and singer, Carol Bayer Sager (b. 1947) co-wrote her first international hit "A Groovy Kind of Love", while still at New York City High School of Music and Art. Her first recording as a singer was the 1977 album Carole Bayer Sager, the first of only three. Although her recordings were successful (Platinum in some counties), songwriting brought her the most acclaim; an Oscar in 1981 (six nominations), a Grammy in 1987 (nine nominations), two Golden Globes (seven nominations) and she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (1987). In 2006, she was honored by NYU's Steinhardt School and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from NY University. Fine condition.
