COTTON (1925-1997), also known as the Yodeling Blonde Bombshell, had 21 movie appearances to her credit, including Apache Country and Blue Canadian Rockies with Gene Autry and Rough, Tough West with Jock Mahoney. She started out on radio and performing at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre yodeling, singing and playing instruments before her first movie appearance in 1944. She also recorded a number of Western songs, yodeling songs and song tracks. The son of actors Harry Carey and Olive Golding, CAREY, born in 1921, appeared with John Wayne in several of the classic John Ford westerns, including She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) and Rio Grande (1950). He had his own TV series (Texas John Slaughter, 1958), and guest starred on most of the classic TV westerns, with numerous appearances on Gunsmoke and Bonanza. He aged gracefully into supporting senior roles, as in Mask (1985) and The Whales of August (1987). Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Adhesive residue on Cotton's side (no show-through, does not touch signatures). Otherwise in fine condition.
