Born in 1957 to Senator and Mrs. John F. Kennedy, Caroline Bouvier Kennedy
married designer Edwin Schlossberg in 1986; they have three children. She
helped found the Profile in Courage Awards in 1989, designed to honor
politically brave public officials. Caroline and her law school friend, Ellen
Alderman, wrote a book about the Bill of Rights, In Our Defense,
in 1990. In 1995, they collaborated on The Right to Privacy. In
2001, she published The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy and
in 2002, inspired by her father's book, she wrote Profiles in Courage for
Our Time. Her latest book, A Patriot's Handbook: Songs, Poems,
Stories and Speeches Celebrating the Land We Love, was published in
2003. Since 2002, Caroline Kennedy has served as Vice Chair of the board of
the New York City Department of Education's Fund for Public Schools a salary of
$1.00 a year. Overall, in fine condition.
