Magazine photograph signed: "Carrie Fisher", in blue felt tip, 9¼x13½. Daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, Carrie Fisher (1956-2016) began performing with her mother on Las Vegas nightclub stages at the age of 12. By the time she was 16, Fisher had made her Broadway debut in Irene and was first seen on the big screen in Shampoo (1975). Two years later, she starred in her most famous role, Princess Leia in the first Star Wars trilogy (1977, 1980, 1983). Her subsequent films include When Harry Met Sally (1989), Sister Act (1992), and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997). Her television work includes a number of television movies and several guest appearances, including a seven-episode role on Ruby. Also a successful author and screenwriter, Fisher has penned semi-autobiographical novels including Postcards From the Edge (1987; screenplay and film, 1990), dealing with her relationship with her mother, and Surrender the Pink, regarding her drug abuse, which led to the failure of her marriage (1983-1984) to her first husband, singer/songwriter Paul Simon. In 2015, she reprised her role as Princess Leia for a third trilogy of Star Wars films. Irregularly cut on right margin. Edges and corners worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
