Stage and screen character actress Catharine Doucet (1875-1958), billed as
Catharine Calhoun in her early work, appeared in Broadway plays for half a
century, and also in many silent and talking films. Among her best remembered
roles was that of Countess Maggie Tubbs DePuizzi in the film version of W. C.
Fields' Poppy (1936). She made several TV playhouse appearances in
the early 1950s. Many sources, including Internet Movie Database, spell her
first name "Catherine", but she spelled it as shown here. Toned and soiled.
Stains throughout. Corners rounded. Light surface creases. Mounting residue
affixed in top right corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
