CATHERINE COUNTISSThe actress pens her name on this slip of paper in black ink Autograph Sentiment signed: “Very Sincerely/ Catherine Countiss/ 1907” in black ink, 5x6½ folded, and 9¾x6½ unfolded. Dated 1907 by the actress. Folded card contains a b/w, 3¾x4½ magazine photo of the actress as well as a 2¼x¾ newspaper clipping. Catherine Countiss (1873-1955) was an actress who appeared in several silent films of the 1910s including A Modern Magdalen (1915) and The Avalanche (1915). She also appeared on stage in a handful of Broadway productions, most notably Mrs. Warren's Profession in 1907. Centralized horizontal fold. Vertical fold touching “Very”. Paper remnants from a previous mounting on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
