Actor JAMES CAAN (born in 1940) shot to fame thanks to a poignant performance in the 1970 television movie Brian's Song, in which he played the ill-fated Chicago Bears star Brian Piccolo; his turn as the similarly ill-fated Sonny Corleone in Coppola's 1972 masterpiece The Godfathersolidified his stardom and earned him an Academy Award nomination. Some of Caan's other films include The Godfather, Part 2 (1974), Funny Lady (1975), Rollerball (1975), Thief (1981),Misery (1990) and Honeymoon in Vegas (1992). In 2003, Caan starred on the NBC television series, Las Vegas (off the air in 2007). A stage actress of the 1960s and 1970s, MARSHA MASON's (b. 1942) fame as a film star soared when she received four Oscar nominations in a brief span of years (Cinderella Liberty, 1973; The Goodbye Girl, 1977; Chapter Two, 1979; andOnly When I Laugh, 1981). Her husband at the time, playwright Neil Simon, wrote the latter three. Mason has also appeared on television and in the moviesStella (1990) and I Love Trouble (1994). In 1997, Mason became a semi-regular on the popular NBC sitcom Frasier, playing the love interest of Kelsey Grammar's father, John Mahoney. Corners slightly worn and creased. Fine condition.
