Typed Letter signed: "Charles B. Driscoll", 1 page, 7½x8.
New York, N.Y., 1931 June 19. On letterhead of the McNaught Syndicate to
Miss Jean Feldman, Detroit, Michigan. In full: "I have no opinion
about the law as a career for anybody. There are many people who are expressing
opinions about things they know nothing of, but I think I had better confine my
expressions to the few simple things with which I have some acquaintance.
Sincerely". Charles B. Driscoll (1885-1951) was a prolific author and
radio commentator, originally from Wichita and later moving to New York City.
He wrote several books about pirates, including Doubloons: the Story of
Buried Treasure (1930); as well as a family memoir, Kansas Irish
(1942). Irregularly cut edges. Toned. Multiple mailing folds. Ink lightly
faded but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
