Check no. 3282, drawn on the joint account of Charles and Jill Bronson at the Bank of America, payable to J L Buchinsky for $242.06. Normal cancellation holes and bank stamps, one on verso showing through faintly at signature. Accompanied by unsigned, captioned publicity still showing Bronson in the film The Evil That Men Do (1984). Light corner creases. Publicity flyer affixed on verso. Fine condition. Charles Bronson (1920-2003) made his film debut in 1951's You're in the Navy Now. He earned a reputation for rugged, tough-guy characters, making the most of his unconventional features. It wasn't until 1960 and the role of Bernardo, one of the The Magnificent Seven, that Bronson's career took off. Subsequent roles in The Great Escape in 1963 and The Dirty Dozen in 1967 solidified his status. He's best known as vigilante Paul Kersey in theDeath Wish series (1974-1994). Bronson was married to actress Jill Ireland from 1967 until her death in 1990. Two items.
