Rawlings Big Stick baseball bat, engraved with Bronson's named and signed in blue ink
Baseball bat signed "Charles Bronson" in blue ink. 34 inches long by 2¼ inches at barrel. Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick Professional Model baseball bat with black stripe and Bronson's name engraved on barrel. Bronson (1920-2003, born Charles Dennis Buchinsky in Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania) made his film debut with an uncredited role in 1951's You're in the Navy Now. Subsequent small and large roles earned him a reputation for rugged, tough-guy characters, making the most of his unconventional features. It wasn't until 1960 and the role of Bernardo, one of the The Magnificent Seven, that Bronson's career took off. Subsequent roles in The Great Escape in 1963 and The Dirty Dozen in 1967 solidified his status. However, it was his portrayal of an urban vigilante in the four Death Wish films (1974-1987) that raised him to the top ranks of stardom. Fine condition.
