In full: "Could I stop in Thursday at 2 o'clock I will be here all that morning so please call me up and let me know if the suits you. I have too many interruptions to attempt tomorrow. I am anxious to see your latest things and to see you. Yours always," Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944) began his 30-year association with "Life" magazine in 1886, contributing weekly drawings and eventually becoming the magazine's editor (1918) and owner.
