Photograph signed "C.E. Wilson" in blue ink. B/w 7x9, Charles E. Wilson (1886-1972) was Vice Chairman of the War Productions Board. Under President Harry S. Truman, he was Chairman of the Civil Rights Committee (1946-1947) and later head of the Office of Defense Mobilization (1950-1952). He was also President of General Motors twice (1940-1942 and 1945-1950). Wilson was nicknamed "Electric Charlie" due to confusion with the Secretary of Defense and former President of General Motors of the same name. Surface creases seen head on. Otherwise, fine condition.
